Product Description
F Sport Instrument Cluster (The "LFA" Gauge)
The F Sport package included a revolutionary instrument cluster that was the main interior highlight and a major selling point. It was directly inspired by the digital gauge cluster in the Lexus LFA V10 supercar.
Layout: The default view is dominated by a single, large physical ring in the center. Inside this ring is a digital tachometer and a large digital speedometer readout.
Motorized Center Ring: The signature feature is that this center ring is motorized and physically slides to the right with the press of a button on the steering wheel.
Revealed Display: When the ring slides to the side, it opens up a larger digital screen space to the left. This allows the driver to view more detailed information, such as:
Audio and media information
Turn-by-turn navigation prompts
Trip computer data
Vehicle diagnostics
A G-force meter
Aesthetic: The design is exceptionally modern, driver-focused, and performance-oriented. The dynamic movement of the gauge is a unique feature that sets the F Sport models apart.
Model Year Compatibility (2014-2016)
2014-2015: The clusters were available for the IS250 and IS350 models (Standard or F Sport).
2016: Lexus introduced the IS200t and IS300 AWD, replacing the IS250. The F Sport package, and its LFA-inspired cluster, was available on all 2016 models (IS200t, IS300, IS350).
Interchangeability: The clusters are physically identical across these three model years. A 2014 F Sport cluster will fit a 2016 F Sport, for example.
Important Considerations for Replacement
Swapping an instrument cluster in these vehicles is not a simple plug-and-play process.
Mileage Programming: The vehicle's mileage is stored within the instrument cluster itself. When you install a used cluster, it will display the mileage from the donor car, not your car. This is a legal issue, and the cluster must be professionally programmed to reflect your vehicle's true mileage.
VIN Configuration: The cluster may be tied to the original vehicle's specific options. While it will often function, it is best practice to have it properly configured to the new vehicle by a specialist.
F Sport Upgrade: While physically possible, upgrading a standard model to an F Sport cluster is a complex project that requires custom wiring and programming and is not a direct swap. For replacement, you should always match the cluster style you are removing (Standard for Standard, F Sport for F Sport).
