Description
This is a genuine OEM Kia Center Dashboard Front Manual A/C & Heater Climate Control Switch Panel Assembly removed from a running donor vehicle. Finished in its factory-original dark metallic faceplate with rotary control dials and carrying exact OEM part sequence JA2JA5 / 97250-2G000, this primary HVAC control unit is an ideal direct physical, mechanical, and electronic drop-in replacement to instantly resolve common interior heating and cooling issues including non-responsive fan speeds, stuck temperature selector dials, failed A/C button engagement, non-working rear defrost switches, or dead panel backlighting.
As an authentic factory-original component, this climate module features factory structural mounting clips and clean multi-pin rear electrical harness connector ports designed to snap seamlessly into your Optima's center stack dashboard frame. Opting for a genuine Kia OEM unit maintains exact wiring harness compatibility, factory interior backlighting color match, and smooth mechanical rotary dial resistance. Every control knob, mode switch button, and electrical pin terminal on this unit has been fully bench-tested and operates properly.
Vehicle Compatibility
Please precisely verify your original panel's part number sticker and front knob configuration before purchasing. This climate control panel fits:
Kia Optima Sedan (LX, EX - 2.4L 4-Cyl & 2.7L V6): 2006 (Late Generation redesign), 2007, 2008
Application Warning: Designed specifically for 2006.5–2008 Kia Optima MG-platform models equipped with standard manual climate controls (3 rotary dials). It will NOT fit early 2006 (MS chassis) models, nor will it fit models equipped with the automatic digital climate control system, as the wiring harness plugs and internal HVAC blend doors are completely different. Always confirm matching part number JA2JA5 or 97250-2G000 on your original unit's rear sticker prior to ordering.
Important Installation Information
Direct Mechanical Snap-In & Harness Integration: Replacing this climate unit requires basic hand tools or plastic trim removal tools. Carefully unclip the center dash trim bezel surrounding the stereo and climate controls to expose the unit's mounting framework, pull the assembly forward, unclip the rear multi-pin wiring harness connectors, swap the unit over, firmly reconnect all wiring plugs, press the module back into the dashboard stack until secured, and re-snap the dash bezel back into place.
Key Features
Fully Bench-Tested Switches: Rotary fan speed switch, temperature selector, and air distribution dials turn smoothly across all positions with clear tactile detents.
Functional Push Buttons: A/C engagement button, recirculation switch, and rear defrost toggle respond cleanly and illuminate properly.
Corrosion-Free Harness Terminals: Rear multi-pin connector ports are clean, straight, unbent, and completely free of moisture damage or thermal melting.
Intact Structural Casing: Front faceplate trim, mounting clip towers, and rear housing structure are original, solid, and free of cracks or broken tabs.
Shipping & Handling
Packaging: Shipped securely inside a thick, heavy-duty structural box wrapped with static-shielding material, soft foam, and thick bubble wrap to completely isolate the front rotary control knobs, faceplate, and rear electrical docks from transit damage.
